The Acies

This chain of islands is formed under a subduction zone near the Iilagu Trench. As a result, many of the islands are volcanic in nature. For the most part, the western shores tend to be craggy cliffs while the eastern shores are gentler and may provide adequate coves for ships to make port. The sands are not as red as those further out to sea and many times range in color from orange to light pink.

The mountainous regions of the island chain extend beneath the waves as well as above them, and passage between islands is fraught with peril for those without adequate maps. Many ships have run aground on the islands rocky shores and been smashed to splinters by the power of the waves.
